Visa/Permit Type Description Who is it for?

Investor Visa Stay permit and visa for foreign investors holding shares in an Indonesian company (PT PMA). Often includes expedited KITAS and tax incentives. Foreign shareholders or directors in a PT PMA company seeking to legally reside and oversee operations in Indonesia.
Working Permit & KITAS Legal permit for foreign professionals employed by Indonesian entities. Requires employer sponsorship and approval from Ministry of Manpower. Expats working in Indonesia as executives, engineers, consultants, teachers, etc., with a sponsoring company.
Retirement Visa & KITAS Designed for foreigners aged 55+ who wish to retire in Indonesia. Requires proof of pension income, health insurance, and accommodation. Foreign retirees from countries such as Australia, Europe, or Japan seeking long-term, non-working residency.
Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP) 5-year renewable stay permit for eligible long-term residents (investors, spouses, retirees). Offers fewer reporting requirements and more flexibility. Foreign nationals who have held a KITAS for 3–5 years and wish to settle in Indonesia permanently.
